Keep You – Part 2
Aaron felt like throwing up. His head was spinning. His pillow felt hard. No, wait. He didn’t have his pillow. Did he fall off the bed? Where was his blanket? It was cold. Didn’t his mother remember to turn on the heater last night? He moved his hand to rub his eyes. His fingers felt numb, and they were freezing against his eyelids. That was enough to wake him up, though. He had to get back into his warm bed. He opened his eyes and blinked a couple times. He lifted his head briefly, but then quickly set it back down again as a wave of dizzy, queasy feelings came over him.
Where did his room go? Where was he? He was laying on cement, in a small, dark room. Door, door. He moved his head slowly to look up and saw a sideways, metal door. He moved a little and turned onto his stomach, turning the door, also, right-side up. He put his hands underneath him and slowly lifted himself. He had to swallow a couple times and bre
